The Camp & The Showcase:
Junior Day is ONLY for 2014 and 2015 high school graduates. This event is designed solely for players who just finished their junior year (2014 grads) or are just beginning their junior year (2015 grads). The event is for those players who are focused on becoming college softball student-athletes. The camp will feature games, a pro style workout with radar gun evaluations, 60 yard dash and instruction from active college coaches from various levels of college softball. The camp is open to all 2014 and 2015 high school graduates and is strictly limited to the first 64 players players who complete their registration. The camp will remain in compliance with all NCAA rules.
Why is it a camp and a showcase?
Well, because it's the best of both worlds. Players want to showcase their skills to coaches but they should also want to learn from the coaches. Coaches want to evaluate players and their skills so they can teach them appropriately, just like they do with their own players. Coaches also want to see how players react to new instruction, new techniques and how they socialize with peers and other coaches.
JUNIOR DAY IS RUN BY CURRENT COLLEGE COACHES
The College Softball Education Seminar:
The College Softball Education Seminar is not only for the softball player but also for her parents/family. The seminar will be held during camp and is for all members of the family. The seminar will last approximately an hour for players and an hour and half for parents. The discussion will cover many topics including: The NCAA Recruiting Rules, How to Promote Yourself, What Coaches Look For, The Best Way to Make a Video, What to Expect Playing College Softball and How to Talk to College Coaches. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and will come out of the event having a much better idea of What College Softball is All About.
If you want to guarantee yourself one of the 64 spots in Junior Day then you should register today.
